Acclaimed UK theatre company The Lord Chamberlain’s Men brought the magic of live theatre to Senior School Voorschoten with their production of The Tempest.
The Lord Chamberlain’s Men is an open-air theatre company that carries on the principles and the tradition of theatre the way William Shakespeare intended: with bold and vivid productions that bring the story to life. They brought this magic to the BSN with a one-of-a-kind performance of The Tempest.
Students gathered around the set which appeared outdoors on the Senior School Voorschoten grounds for performances during the school day, and then parents, students and community members enjoyed the dynamic production during a magnificent final show on Saturday evening.
Drama students from the British School of Brussels joined BSN Drama students on Saturday before the performance for a series of hands-on workshops put on by the Lord Chamberlain’s Men actors. It was a unique opportunity to get out of their comfort zones, interact with and learn from professional actors and develop their skills.
Thanks to the SSV Drama department and the Lord Chamberlain’s Men for putting on this experience for BSN students and families!
