We’ve reached the highest point in the construction of our new Senior School in Leidschenveen! This is traditionally a cause for celebration in The Netherlands.
The Student Council, with Headteacher, James Oxlade, were invited by Sprangers Construction to an unveiling ceremony and a celebratory lunch with the construction team on Wednesday 26 February. Director Bart van der Werf, Project Manager and Jik Mosch, Architect from Kraaijvanger Architects were also present.
With everyone wearing the appropriate headgear, it was time for the unveiling ceremony. There was a sense of excitement and anticipation as the workers dropped a tarpaulin to reveal a banner:
“Sprangers congratulates The British School with the highest point celebration!”
Following the ceremony, students were able to gain an insight into the process of planning and constructing a new building during lunch with the construction team.
Senior School Leidschenveen is well on its way to completion now.
