Trips have long been ingrained in the culture of the BSN. School trips, cultural excursions, and residential visits represent many learning opportunities for students of all ages.

Most trips link closely with the curriculum and are designed to support and extend the work undertaken in class. From local day trips and short residential trips to longer international expeditions, our students experience many different cultures, environments, and activities.

Junior School Trips

Junior School students experience a variety of school excursions, from local day trips (e.g. Peace Palace and the Rijksmuseum) to short residential trips (e.g. three nights stay in Belgium's Arnhem forest). The trips enhance students' in-class learning while enjoying activities in new environments.

Senior School Trips

While many trips are linked with a particular subject or topic, others are related to the broader personal developmental aims of the school - providing opportunities for students to stretch and challenge themselves outside the classroom.

These trips are often the highlight of a school year, and in the past few years, students have visited destinations such as:

  • Nepal
  • USA
  • France
  • Germany
  • Spain
  • Ireland

In the upcoming year, trips will go to more destinations, including:

  • South Africa
  • Malta
  • Ireland
  • Iceland
  • Italy
  • Portugal
