18 children from across the three Junior Schools traveled to Dubai to compete in the Primary World School Games 2019.

Over three days our students competed in Athletics, Football and Swimming against 20 schools from across the world, including Spain, Russia, Nigeria, Kazakhstan and Bahrain, among many others.

Our team finished 10th overall across the 3 sports and did particularly well in Athletics where the team narrowly missed out on 3rd overall. In football both teams were defeated only once throughout the tournament, with the boys unfortunate to finish 5th despite winning all but one of their games. Our swimmers faced strong competition in the pool and fought hard in all their heats but were unable to qualify for the finals.

Throughout the trip we managed to visit the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and spent the afternoon at the top of the building looking out over Dubai City, the beach area and the surrounding deserts. We also visited the Dubai mall where we were treated to the world famous dancing fountains, a spectacular sight where fountains dance to music. Students were also pleased to have been able to visit one of the world's biggest candy shops and have some time to make some sugary purchases.

Well done to all the students who participated!
