Under the floodlights on Friday, the BSN hosted the British School of Paris (BSP) for the ‘home’ leg of its annual fixture (BSN travel to BSP in mid January for the away leg).
BSN started well with Isaac Ortlipp controlling possession from the base of the rucks and a very well disciplined pack making good progress against a Paris side that played with passion but couldn’t cope with the aggressive and focused forward play: Adam Kus and Michael van der Merwe were strong ball carriers constantly breaking the gain line. Niccolo Marcelli looked powerful every time he had the ball but as the snow fell it was a night for the forwards. Matthew Moss led the team and the scoring, crossing the try line for a hat trick on the night with BSN ending up worthy winners 39-12.
Many thanks to all the parents who came to watch and then hosted our visitors on what was a bitterly cold and snowy evening.
