We are delighted to celebrate the significant achievements of the Sixth Form International Baccalaureate (IB) students at The British School in The Netherlands (BSN), who received an excellent set of IB results.
The Culmination of Two Years of Hard Work
Over 25% of the students achieved 40+ points, an accomplishment typically only attained by the top 10% of IB students globally. These results represent the culmination of two years of the students’ hard work, immense determination and focus. Their well-deserved success is reflected in the pass rates across both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP), 95% and 100%, respectively.
Our students’ average Diploma point score in the IBDP is an impressive 36.
This compares favourably with the worldwide average point score of 32, which was surpassed by 60% of our students.
All IBCP students achieved a high B-grade on their individual Reflective Projects, which is a significant achievement across this academically complex programme.
One in four students scored 40 points or more out of a possible 45, putting them in the top 10% of students worldwide.
Three students achieved 44+ points – placing them in the top 1% overall.
Beyond the BSN
Our students hold offers from many of the world’s top universities, including the University of Cambridge, Imperial University London, TU Delft, and ESADE. Our students will be heading off to study in colleges across the USA, Europe, and the UK this coming autumn.
Well-deserved Recognition
Mrs Vicki Hallatt, Senior School Voorschoten (SSV) Interim Headteacher, commented,
'Congratulations to all our IB students in Year 13, who have achieved an outstanding set of results. It is even more impressive as these have been our students’ first formal set of exams.
Students have demonstrated immense determination, resilience and good humour, and these excellent outcomes are fully deserved.
‘I would like to offer a sincere thank-you for the support we have received from the parents and families throughout this time.
‘I am grateful to all our staff for their encouragement and guidance of our students, supporting them towards their goals.’
Heath Monk, BSN CEO, said,
Well done to all of our IB students who received their results today. These students have had a very challenging few years, and should be extremely proud of what they have achieved.
‘I wish them all the very best as they begin the next chapter of their lives.’
