Sixth Form

The BSN Swim Team competed in the annual Swim Meet ASH gala that was hosted by the American school of The Hague in Wassenaar on Saturday evening, January 13th.

The event was huge this year and involved a total of 11 teams from all over Europe including schools from the UK, Belgium, France, Germany and The Netherlands. A total of 163 swimmers competed in 44 events for what ended up being a record length gala in terms time. That said, the time keeping and organisation on the evening was excellent and ASH are to be commended on running such a high quality event. There were some great swims by a number of swimmers but our relay teams really excelled finishing on the podium in four of the eight relays in which they competed. Sean Niewold set two new school records, improving on the 50 freestyle and 50 butterfly records that have both stood for six and seven years respectively. In terms of the divisional scores, the junior and varsity girls teams both finished 4th overall, the junior boys finished in 6th place, but the varsity boys led the field finishing with more than double the points of their nearest rivals. Overall the team finished in an impressive 4th place overall and the competition for places in the ISST team is certainly on.

A special thanks to those parents who came along to support.
