Sixth Form students at the BSN have maintained the very high standards of previous years in the International Baccalaureate Diploma and Career Programmes and have received their results this afternoon.
In 2017/18 the school is proud of its 100% pass rate in IBDP, which compares very favourably with the worldwide pass rate of 78% in 2016/2017. Students studying for the IBCP also achieved a 100% pass rate.
Students’ average point score in IBDP was 34 (worldwide 2018 average point score = 29.78) and four students scored 41 points or more, putting them in the top 7% of students worldwide. Two students scored 44 points which places them in the top 1% of students.
IB DP students are heading to a range of universities including King's College London, The University of Warwick, Durham University, University College London, Imperial College London, Universiteit Leiden, University of California, Berkeley.
Headteacher, Paul Topping, is delighted with the results.
“I would like to congratulate students on their outstanding achievements in IB and thank parents for their wisdom and support during the Sixth Form years. We believe that all of our students will secure their chosen destinations beyond school and we wish them well as they embark on this new and exciting stage of their lives.”
Students’ success is always achieved through hard work and commitment to studies but we would also like to thank leaders, teaching and support staff for their continuing excellent leadership and unswerving support of students at the BSN.
