The BSN Community Laced Up Their Trainers and Went For a Run

Sunday, 12 March was a stunning day to be outside in the Netherlands - it was a breezy 10 degrees and the sun was shining all day.

For many, this was a good time to sit in the garden or go for a bike ride, but for the nearly 400 members of the BSN community that signed up for the 17th edition of the CPC Loop Den Haag, it was a great day for a run in one of The Hague's largest running events.

Starting as early as 9:00, students, staff, family, and friends of the BSN gathered at Zein Daycare's The Estate to drop their belongings off and take the short walk to the Malieveld where the CPC Loop was held. Participants ran distances from 1k, 2.5k, 5k. 10k, to 21k. The support from the BSN community was simply amazing. Colleagues stood on the sidelines to encourage other runners and as runners returned to The Estate they were greeted with cheers as they entered the building.

Personal bests were recorded, some ran their first races, and many enjoyed the time with friends and family on such a beautiful day. We saw so many notable runners, including Senior School Voorschoten students, Andrew Buglass who came 16th and Daniel Perez Cascon who placed 25th out of 4,678 runners in the 5k; Liam Parkins who won the medal for fastest boy in the 2.5k from a school run; and Mrs Weinberg of Junior School Leidschenveen, ran the 5k, 10k, and 21k to raise funds for charity.

The spirit of the BSN carried through from morning to afternoon, and every person who laced up their trainers really did #runBSNrun.
