The International Ambassadors at Junior School Leidschenveen welcomed Eduardo Ibarrola, the Mexican Ambassador, to school on Friday. He was given a warm, festive greeting from the entire team of International Ambassadors, staff, and parents from the Mexican community.
Mr Ibarrola joined the International Ambassadors for a round table discussion and he was very informative and eager to answer the group’s questions. He shared his background with the group and offered advice for their career paths, saying “When you grow up, do something that you like, just like I did.”
Afterwards, he went on a guided tour around the campus and even got a chance to meet Beardy –the JSL iguana.
This was JSL’s first visit from an ambassador and it was a great success. We would like to thank the staff and students who arranged the meeting, and to the parents who provided the delicious Mexican treats and enthusiasm for this visit.
Keep an eye out for upcoming visits from ambassadors from other nations. The BSN is comprised of over 80 nationalities so we look forward to many more visits in the upcoming future.
