During the recent holidays SSV teacher Mr Le Heux went to Kenya and met up with Mike Nabalia, the Kenyan Science Teacher from Ndege Secondary School, who spent time at both the SSV and JSV campuses in December.
According to Ndege Secondary’s Head Teacher, Mike’s short time with us has had a significant impact not only on his own teaching but also on that of the other teachers, with whom he has shared his experiences.
The Head Teacher says that the group work and 'student as expert' style of teaching has made the students more engaged with their lessons and has already produced a betterment in their results.
The Project Africa 2017 students will be going to the Ndege Schools this July, and are looking forward to catching up with Mike again.
