The Indian Summer Nights evening was a celebration of the student’s creative GCSE work and was entirely hosted by Year 10 and Year 11 students.
The event included a fashion show showcasing the work of Year 11 students who individually created dresses that took them through the process of drawing a range of designs before developing and adjusting a commercial pattern. Year 10 students were challenged to create a sustainable skirt using fabric and materials that would have been discarded. This wonderful event also included music performances from GCSE students, a display of art work from Year 11, a display of DT student projects and students Computer Science work and a delicious 3 course Indian meal cooked and served to 90 people by the Year 10 Food Technology students.
