Sixth Form students at the BSN have maintained the very high standards of previous years in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Career-related Programmes (IBCP) after receiving their results this week.
We are very proud of the achievements of our students who have followed the IBDP and IBCP programmes this year. They have worked incredibly hard and deserve their wonderful success.
Our students’ average point score in IBDP was 35.5, an increase on last year’s average of 34 points. This compares very favourably with the 2019 worldwide average point score of 29.6. Four students scored 40 points or more out of a possible 45, putting them in the top 7% of students worldwide, and one student achieved an outstanding 44 points placing him in the top 1% overall.
All of our students studying for the IBCP successfully achieved their award – achieving a 100% pass rate again.
IBDP students have places at a range of universities including The University of Oxford, Loughborough University, University of Bristol, Technische Universiteit Delft, Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam, Universiteit Leiden and Columbia University in New York.
Our IBCP students are heading to Rotterdam University of Applied Science to study Business-related programmes and Languages.
Headteacher, Paul Topping, is delighted with the results.
“I would like to congratulate our IB students on their superb achievements and recognise the commitment and support of parents. As students move on to their chosen destinations, we wish them every success in this exciting next stage of their educational journey.
Students’ success is always achieved through their hard work and commitment, but I would also like to thank our staff for their excellent leadership, teaching and unwavering support of students at the Senior School Voorschoten.”
