The BSN Health Team celebrates 20 years of service to the BSN community.
This valuable service for both students and their families has come a long way in 20 years. Today, throughout the whole BSN, the Health team is situated in purpose built rooms with a nurse on duty from 8.30-16.30 every day.
The Nursing team is led by a Lead School Nurse who ensures the delivery of consistent and top class care based on current evidence based medical research.
The role of these highly qualified and experienced nurses has now developed to include a wide range of services such as daily care for students with more complex or chronic health needs such as life threatening anaphylaxis, diabetes, and epilepsy, medical risk assessment and planning for trips and visits, ensuring that any medical care needed by a student is continued whilst away from home, emotional and pastoral support and much more.
Through development and investment in this service, the BSN ensures that all students can reach their full potential and be safe and happy in school.
