On Saturday the 10 March, 9 CAS students from Senior School Voorschoten took part in 'NL Doet Dag'.  NL Doet Day or in English NL Do Day is a day when volunteers across the country are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and help out a local organisation.

Nine CAS students in Year 12 worked all morning at the Natuurspeeltuin which is a playground that encourages young children to explore nature, climb, play with water, mud and sticks. It is about a kilometer from the Senior School and is located behind the van der Valk Hotel de Gouden Leeuw.

The CAS experience counted as Creativity, Activity and Service, as the students took it, in turn, to help out with different tasks which were quite a challenge given the tools the boys had to use. In the process, they discovered that together they were quite handy. At the end of the morning and a job well done they were treated to hot dogs and Easter eggs. This was a great opportunity for the students to speak Dutch and mix with local residents and their young children.
